Our structural adhesives stiffen all areas of the vehicle and add to overall durability by reducing fatigue and failure of spot welds and other traditional fasteners.

Structure-born noise is reduced by using structural adhesives on vehicle hem flanges and along weld lines to limit vibration caused by mechanical fasteners and spot-weld fatigue.

New adhesive technology has enabled Dow Automotive to introduce innovative and cost-effective construction of front-end systems and hybrid IPs. The development of BETAMATE™ LESA (low energy surface adhesive), has enabled us to optimize materials and manufacturing processes. The adhesive can bond similar or dissimilar substrates like plastic to plastic or plastic to metal without the need of a primer. The resulting component reduces weight and cost per vehicle while adding stiffness improvement.
